Hidden. Not sure what a code gives away? Scan it with the app first: it shows exactly what's inside.

Why codes in photos matter
The barcode on a boarding pass holds your name and booking reference, which is often enough to open the booking, change seats or cancel the flight. Event ticket codes can be copied and used before you arrive. Parcel labels carry your name and address, and the tracking code.
Blurring the printed name is not enough when the code next to it says the same thing. Anyone can scan a code from a photo on their screen.
How it covers them
Every QR code and barcode the reader can find is boxed and covered with a margin. You can drag to cover anything else (a name, a booking number) and tap a box to remove it. Pixelate turns the area into about ten big blocks, Blur softens it heavily, Black box hides it completely.
Before saving, the finished photo is scanned again. If any code can still be read, it tells you instead of saving. The saved photo is redrawn, so it also leaves out the photo's location and camera details.
Should I blur the barcode on my boarding pass?
Yes. The barcode holds your name and booking reference, which can be enough to open your booking. Cover it before posting a photo, and throw printed passes away carefully.
Can a blurred QR code still be scanned?
A light blur sometimes can. This tool covers codes with large blocks and then tries to scan the result. If anything still reads, it asks you to cover more.
Is my photo uploaded?
No. It is edited inside your browser and saved straight to your device.
Does it remove location data from the photo?
Yes. The saved file is a new image drawn by the browser, so it has no GPS location or camera details.
What else should I hide in a ticket photo?
The booking reference, seat or ticket number, and your full name. Drag a box over each one.
