Accessibility
Our goal
We want everyone to be able to use qrcodescankit.com. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA. If something gets in your way, email us and we will fix it or send you the information another way: Email us
What we do
- Every page works with a keyboard alone, shows a clear focus ring and has a "Skip to content" link.
- Text and controls meet a contrast of at least 4.5:1 in both the light and the dark theme; we check the colours with a script before each release.
- Images have text alternatives; decorative images are hidden from screen readers.
- Pages use real headings, lists, tables and landmarks, and each page has one main heading and a language set.
- Buttons and links are at least 44 by 44 points to tap on phones, and text can be zoomed to 200% without loss.
- Animations are short and switch off when your device asks for reduced motion.
- The free tools label every field, announce results to screen readers and work without dragging (you can also pick a file or use the camera).
- The site does not need JavaScript to read any page; only the tools need it.
Known limits
- App screenshots show the app's screens as pictures; the same information is in the text next to them.
- The camera scanner in the browser tools needs a camera. Every camera tool can also read a saved picture instead.
- Some guides quote outside sources (Apple, GS1, the FTC) whose own pages we don't control.
The app
QR Code Scan Kit for iPhone and iPad has VoiceOver labels on its main controls. Support for larger text sizes and the reduced-motion setting is still being improved. If any screen is hard to use, please tell us and we will put it first.
